Mika balanced school and sport impressively, completing her GCSEs while progressing through tournaments like Queen’s and Nottingham.

Xu’s maturity and tactical IQ give her a clear edge in senior competition.

Are They Ready for Wimbledon?

Their Wimbledon 2025 wildcards followed a strategic meeting between the LTA and All England Club, and each player is guaranteed £66,000 in prize money — a significant boost for their tennis careers.

“All of them are ready,” said Iain Bates, LTA’s Head of Women’s Tennis. “This is the right time to test themselves against the world’s best.”

Both Stojsavljevic and Xu already hold ITF Tour titles, though their rise has been carefully managed due to WTA age eligibility rules.

🇬🇧 Britain’s Junior Tennis Revival

This trio follows in the footsteps of legends like Laura Robson (Wimbledon 2008) and Heather Watson (US Open 2009) — the only other British girls to win junior Grand Slam titles this century.

“Junior success shows long-term potential, but it’s only step one,” Bates added. “This Wimbledon debut is part of a bigger journey.”

With role models like Raducanu, a growing support system, and wildcard opportunities, the future looks bright for this talented generation.
